I need some help figuring out what is going on with my car because the noise is getting embarrassing. I drove an Infiniti G37 and for the past few weeks it has been getting louder and louder. At first I thought maybe it was just my imagination but now my neighbors have started commenting on it. When I start the car in the morning it roars like a race car which was fun at first but now it is just annoying. The sound gets even worse when I accelerate. It is not a smooth engine sound either. There is a raspy rumbling tone and sometimes I hear a metallic rattling when I go over speed bumps. I am worried something is broken underneath. My friend said it could be an exhaust leak or a broken muffler or maybe even a damaged catalytic converter. I do not know much about cars so I have been searching online for a reliable place to take it. I found a shop that offers reliable Infiniti exhaust repair workshop in MBZ City which is close to where I live. That seems convenient but I wanted to ask this community first. Has anyone here dealt with exhaust problems on their Infiniti? What was the actual cause of the noise? Was it expensive to fix? Also is it safe to keep driving like this or should I stop immediately? I do not want to damage the engine or fail my next inspection. If any of you have used an exhaust repair service in MBZ City please share your experience. Did they find the real problem quickly or did they just guess and replace parts? I really want to get this fixed properly without spending a fortune. Any advice would be really appreciated.
